IRVINE, Calif. --- The Western Oregon softball team lost to Cal State East Bay 4-1 Sunday in the finale of the Concordia Kickoff.

Maddie Doig hit a double the batter before.
East Bay answered wit ha run in the bottom of the second, two runs in the third and another run in the sixth.Â
McGough paced the Wolves at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI.
Nicki Derrick pitched two innings for WOU, giving up an unearned run on two hits with a walk.
Maddie Mayer pitched the other four innings, giving up three runs on six hits with two strikeouts.
The Wolves return to action Friday at Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas, before playing a three-game series against UT-Tyler on Saturday and Sunday.
