MONMOUTH --- The Western Oregon volleyball team lost in four sets (25-18, 18-25, 25-20, 25-21) to Saint Martin's on Saturday night at New PE Building.
After dropping the first set, the Wolves (7-4 overall, 1-2 GNAC) bounced back in the second - using a 4-0 run capped by a pair of
Bailee Hartsook kills to make it 12-7. The Saints (8-4, 2-1) wouldn't get closer than two as WOU slowly pulled away - capped bya Hartsook kill to close out the game.
But it would be the only game WOU would take as the Saints won the final two to take the match.
Hartsook led three players in double figures in kills with 12 while
Sarah Strus and
Madison Hornback each had 11.
Laney O'Neil led the team with 15 assists while
Kealani Rosa added 12.
Bella MacLellan had a team-high three blocks and
Sophie Matlock led the team in digs with 19.Â
WOU returns to action Thursday at Central Washington.
