THE WOLVES HEADING INTO THE WEEK ...

The Wolves had their six-game winning streak snapped last week - falling at Seattle Pacific on Thursday (57-52) and at No. 14 Montana State Billings on Saturday (86-59). Cali McClave paced the Wolves in the loss to SPU with 23 points while Kiylynn Dawkins had a team-best 15 points at MSU Billings.

McClave sits sixth in the conference in scoring at 15.5 points per game, Triniti Youngblood is third in the conference in assists per game (3.6) with McClave ninth (3.1) and Ana McClave is seventh in the GNAC in rebounding (7.7) with Dawkins ranking 10th (7.1).

As a team, the Wolves are seventh in the GNAC in scoring (64.5) and fifth in scoring defense (63.9). WOU also ranks 11th in the nation and second in the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.13).

SCOUTING SIMON FRASER & WESTERN WASHINGTON ...
Simon Fraser has dropped three in a row after falling at home to Northwest Nazarene (61-60 on Thursday) and Central Washington (77-65 on Saturday). In the final seconds loss to NNU, Jesica Wisotzki led the team with 15 points while Sophia Wisotzki led th team with 15 points in the loss to CWU. The Red Leafs' Gemma Cutler leads the conference and is fifth in the nation in blocks at 2.88 per game while she ranks sixth in the nation and second in the conference in field goal percentage (60.8). Jessica Wisotzki leads the team and is third in the GNAC in scoring at 17.6 points per game while Sophia Wisotzki is eighth in the GNAC in scoring at 14.4). As a team, SFU is fifth in the GNAC in scoring 70.6 points per game while ninth in points allowed (70.8).

Western Washington won both of its games last week at home to move its win streak to three, beating Central Washington 100-75 on Thursday behind 21 points from Brooke Walling and Northwest Nazarene 88-60 on Saturday behind 23 points from Riley Dykstra. Walling leads the team and is fourth in the GNAC in scoring at 17.1 points per game while she's also first in the GNAC in rebounding (10.0), second in blocks per game (2.6) and seventh in assists (3.3). Stephanie Peterson is second in the GNAC in assists (4.0) and first in steals per game (2.4). As a team, the Vikings are first in the conference in points allowed (57.5), second in scoring (73.7) and first in scoring margin (plus-16.3, 14th in the nation). WWU ranks in the top 10 in the nation in assists per game (18.5 - fourth), blocks per game (6.1 - second), field goal percentage (46.8 - ninth) and field goal percentage (33.4 - sixth).

WOU is 5-19 against Simon Fraser all-time, having lost seven games in a row to the Red Leafs. The Wolves' last win against SFU came Jan. 10, 2019 - 69-65. WOU's last win at home against the Red Leafs came Dec. 31, 2015 - a 58-57 victory.

The Wolves are 10-57 all-time against Western Washington, having lost five in a row to the Vikings. WOU's last win against WWU came Jan. 2, 2020 - a 73-70 double overtime victory.

WOLVES HAVE A CHANCE TO BEAT RANKED OPPONENT SATURDAY FOR FIRST TIME SINCE 2015
Western Oregon can snap a 24-game losing streak to ranked opponents when the Wolves host Western Washington on Saturday. The Wolves last defeated a ranked opponent Jan. 22, 2015, in a 67-62 win at home over No. 8 Seattle Pacific.

DAWKINS DOUBLE-FIGURE SCORING STREAK CONTINUES
Western Oregon's sophomore post Kiylynn Dawkins continues to become a force for the Wolves as she's scored in double figures for 10 consecutive games - raising her scoring averaged from 5.7 to 10.6. She had a streak of five consecutive double-doubles during that stretch and has raised her rebounding average from 3.5 to 7.1 over the previous 10 games as well.

MCCLAVE HITS 1,000 CAREER POINTS & MOVED TO NO. 2 IN 3-POINTERS ON WOU ALL-TIME LIST
WOU senior Cali McClave reached the 1,000-point mark earlier this season and now sits at 1,110 points. She has a chance to reach the WOU all-time top five with Katie Torland (2007-10) in the No. 5 spot at 1,257 points. The all-time record is held by Leada Berkey (2004-08) with 1,558 points.

McClave also reached the No. 2 spot in 3-pointers made with 141 - passing Sydney Azorr (116 - 2014-18), Stacy Jepson (120 - 1989-92) and Shelly Potter (122 - 1992-96) this season. The all-time record is held by Sara Zahler (2007-11) with 172.
