MONMOUTH, Ore. --- The Western Oregon baseball team was picked sixth in the National College Baseball Writer's Association NCAA Division II West Region Preseason Poll when the teams were announced Monday.
The Wolves are coming off a third straight trip to the NCAA West Regional, its second-straight regular season GNAC title and GNAC Championships title and a 30-15 overall record.
WOU is one of two GNAC teams in the rankings along with Northwest Nazarene at No. 9.
The Wolves open their season Feb. 1 at Fresno Pacific - which comes in ranked at No. 7 in the preseason regional poll.
