SEATTLE --- The Western Oregon women's soccer team set three school records Thursday night in a scoreless draw against Seattle Pacific at Interbay Stadium.
The Wolves (4-3-7 overall, 4-1-4 GNAC) set a school record for consecutive shutouts (five), time without allowing a goal (527 minutes, 33 seconds) and ties in a season (seven) with Saturday's result.
WOU withstood a barrage of shots from the Falcons (7-1-5, 5-0-4) as the Wolves were outshot 14-0 in the first half, but WOU keeper
Sophia Pierce made nine first-half saves to keep the contest scoreless.
In the second half, the Wolves were outshot 9-4 with one of WOU's shots being on target while Pierce made three more saves to finish with a career-high 12 saves. It was her fifth shutout this season, giving her 12 in her two years at WOU - already tied for third on the all-time list.
In two games between WOU and SPU this season, neither team scored with both being scoreless shutouts.
The Wolves return to action Saturday at Montana State Billings.
