BURNABY, B.C. --- The Western Oregon women's soccer team lost 2-1 at Simon Fraser on Thursday night at SFU Stadium.
The Wolves (2-3-3 overall, 2-1 GNAC) fell behind the Red Leafs (6-1, 2-1) in the 35th minute and the score remained 1-0 heading into the second half.Â

Ciara Garcia evened things up in the 59th minute with a shot from the right side found the left side of the goal to make it 1-1. It was the sophomore's fourth goal of the season.
However, SFU was awarded a penalty kick in the 65th minute and converted to take the lead for what turned out to be for good.
SFU outshot WOU 17-13 with both teams finishing with eight shots on goals.
WOU continues its road trip Saturday at Western Washington.
