The Wolves (6-5-8, 6-3-5 GNAC) jumped out early on the Nighthawks (4-14, 4-10) as senior
Lulu Sadler scored her first goal of the season on an assist from fellow senior
Olivia Fothergill in the third minute.
The lead extended to 2-0 just 1:07 into the second half when senior
Lilly Nowatzke scored her first goal of 2024 on an assist from
Lauren Rose.
WOU held strong and picked up their ninth shutout of the season as
Sophia Pierce (a senior in academic standing) and senior
Darien Walton combined at keeper to keep NNU scoreless - making three total saves.
The Wolves now get set for the GNAC Championships as fourth-seeded WOU takes on regular-season champion Western Washington 4 p.m. Thursday at Interbay Stadium in Seattle.
