MONMOUTH, Ore. --- The Western Oregon women's basketball team fought hard to stay within reach against Seattle Pacific on Saturday, but fell short 59-47 at New PE in Monmouth.

The Wolves (10-13 Overall, 3-9 GNAC) trailed the Falcons (10-13, 7-6) 36-23 at the half with
Triniti Youngblood going 4-for-6 from the field and a perfect 2-for-2 from the line in the first half to keep WOU within shouting distance.

Then, going into the third quarter, the Wolves went on a scoring spree, scoring 16 points and getting within three at 42-39 with 4:18 left in the quartetr after layups from Youngblood and
Kiylynn Dawkins. Three is as close as the Wolves would get, however as the Falcons pulled away.

Youngblood finished the contest going 7-for-12 from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 from the line for 18 points along with six rebounds, three steals and two assists.
Cali McClave scored 14 points with five rebounds, and Dawkins finished with nine points and five rebounds.

The Wolves return to action at Western Washington on Thursday and at Simon Fraser on Saturday.
