MONMOUTH, Ore. --- The Western Oregon men's basketball team lost to Western Washington 78-62 on Saturday afternoon at New PE Building.

The Vikings (13-9 overall, 5-6 GNAC) jumped out to a 13-0 lead to start the game and WOU (5-14, 2-9) wouldn't get closer than seven points the rest of the contest.

Cameron Benzel led the Wolves with 22 points on 10-for-13 shooting to go along with nine rebounds. Jason Gallant had 21 points, six rebounds, five assists, two blocks and a steal. Kris Cook added 10 points and three rebounds.

WOU returns to action next Saturday at home against Saint Martin's.
