LACEY, Wash. --- The Western Oregon women's basketball team ended their three-game road stand, falling to Saint Martin's 73-58 on Saturday at Marcus Pavilion.
The Wolves (10-11 Overall, 3-7 GNAC) ended the first half shooting 9-for-30 from the field and a perfect 5-for-5 from the line, and trailed the Saints (5-12, 3-7) by 11 going into the break, 34-23.
In the third, WOU fought back thanks to going 8-for-15 from the field and getting within five of the Saints thanks to key baskets from
Cali McClave and
Jodi Noyes. But this is as close as the Wolves would get as the Saints were able to pull away in the fourth.
McClave finished with 23 points, seven rebounds and four steals while
Triniti Youngblood ended with 14 points and three assists.
The Wolves return home to Monmouth for home games against Montana State Billings on Thursday and Seattle Pacific on Saturday.
