TURLOCK, Calif. --- The Western Oregon women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 contest at Stanislaus State on Thursday night at Warrior Stadium.
The Wolves (0-1-2 overall) and Warriors (2-1) played a scoreless first half and a first 17 minutes in the second half before SSU's Aliah Avila scored in the 63rd minute to make it 1-0.
WOU had its chances with 11 shots and five on goal, but never found the back of the net on Thursday night. Goalkeeper
Sophia Pierce kept WOU in the game as she made six saves in the contest.
The Wolves return to action 5 p.m. Saturday when they take on CSU Monterey Bay.
