PUEBLO, Colorado --- The Western Oregon men's soccer team fell in its season opener to No. 2 CSU Pueblo 3-0 on Thursday evening at ARt & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
While there wasn't a large discrepancy in shots (the ThunderWolves outshot the Wolves just 7-6 overall and 4-3 on shots on goal), CSUP took advantage of their opportunities - scoring two first-half goals (13' and 27') before adding a final goal on a penalty kick in the 87th minute.
The Wolves look to bounce back 9 a.m. Saturday against Jessup in Pueblo.
