MONMOUTH, Ore. --- The Western Oregon men's basketball team dropped its home matchup with Northwest Nazarene, 84-60, Thursday in the New PE Building.
The Wolves (4-14 overall, 1-7 GNAC) got within six of the Nighthawks (14-2, 7-1) on a three-point play by
Anjay Cortez with 4:37 remaining in the first half to make it 29-23. Six was as close as WOU would get, however.
Jason Gallant paced the Wolves in scoring, finishing with 14 points and two steals.
Jahville Collins had 12 points and a team-high six rebounds while Cortez added seven points and two steals.
The Wolves return to home action for their Alumni Appreciation Game 4:15 p.m. Saturday against Central Washington.
