MONMOUTH, Ore. --- The No. 14 Western Oregon women's soccer team tied a school record with its fifth-straight victory in a 3-0 win over Central Washington on Thursday at WOU Soccer Field.
The Wolves (6-1-1 overall, 3-0 GNAC) have now tied the 1997 team with the longest win streak in school history.
WOU got on the board just before half against the Wildcats (2-1-2, 0-1-1) when the Wolves were awarded a penalty kick in the 45th minute. The Wolves'
Jada Foster put it away to make it 1-0 at the half.
WOU was awarded another PK in the 51st minute on a handball by the Wildcats in the penalty area.
Ally Beavers put this one away to make it 2-0.
The Wolves closed out the scoring when
Maya Courtenay found Beavers who then sent a great ball into the penalty area for
Katya Tercek who one-touched it past the keeper to make the final 3-0.
WOU outshot CWU 17-7 in the match, including 8-2 on shots on goal.Â

Bella Lopez picked up her fourth shutout of the season, making two saves in the contest.
The Wolves have a chance to break the school record 10 a.m. Saturday when they host Northwest Nazarene.
