Bella Pedrojetti had 22 points and a career-high 11 rebounds as the Wolves led for the final 37 minutes in a 58-53 victory over Seattle Pacific on Thursday night at New PE Building.
WOU (8-12 overall, 4-8 GNAC) closed out the first quarter on a 7-0 run capped by a
Salma Youngblood 3-pointer with four seconds left to take an 18-8 lead on the Falcons (6-18, 0-11) and grew the lead to as large as 16 points in the second quarter before taking a 31-18 lead into the half.
WOU pushed its advantage to a game-high 17 points on a Pedrojetti 3-pointer with 1:33 left in the quarter to make it 44-27 as the Wolves cruised to victory from there.
The 22 points and 11 rebounds gave Pedrojetti her first career double-double - which included her going 10-for-11 from the line.
Mya India Thomas gave the Wolves a boost in the first half and finished with 11 points in the contest,
Salma Youngblood had eight points and eight rebounds and
Enid Vaifanua had six points, 10 rebounds and a team-high four assists and two steals.
WOU returns to action 2 p.m. Saturday against No. 18 Montana State Billings.
