BELLINGHAM, Wash. --- The Western Oregon softball team lost both ends of a doubleheader 5-1 to 11th-ranked Western Washington on Thursday at Viking Field.
In the first game, the Wolves (10-15 overall, 4-2 GNAC) fell behind 1-0 in the first and the score remained that way until a four-run fifth inning by the Vikings (16-7, 4-2) helped them pull away. WOU's lone run came in the sixth when
Sydney Conklin hit an RBI single up the middle to score

Kenney Abbas got the loss for WOU, going four innings nd giving up five runs (four earned) on six hits with two strikeouts and two walks.
Alyssa Fullmer tossed two innings of scoreless relief for the Wolves - giving up just one hit.
In the second game, WWU scored all five of its runs in the first inning to pick up the win. WOU scored in the fourth when
Kate Ronning hit an RBI single to score Gaboriault.
Isabelle Lewis had half of WOU's hits in the contest - going 2-for-3.
Abby Stansbury got the loss, going all six innings and giving up five runs (four earned) on 10 hits with two strikeouts nd three walks.
These teams close out the series with a doubleheader starting at noon Friday.
