NAMPA, Idaho --- The Western Oregon men's soccer team picked up its third win in six days as the Wolves defeated Westminster 1-0 Saturday at NNU Soccer Field.

WOU (3-1) and the Griffins (1-3) were scoreless heading into the second half before in the 53rd minute a shot by Alex Grignon was deflected by the keeper - but right to a sprinting Abraham Villalobos who one-timed it into the back of the net to give the Wolves the lead.

WOU held tough from there - picking up its second shutout in a row. Austin Valdez in his first start for the Wolves saved all four shots he faced to collect the clean sheet.

WOU returns home next week as the Wolves host nationally ranked CSU Pueblo on 10 a.m. Thursday before taking on Humblodt 1 p.m. Saturday.
