Wolves score most goals in home match since 2022, beat Eastern Oregon

MONMOUTH --- The Western Oregon women's soccer team scored the most goals in a home match since 2022 in defeating Eastern Oregon 3-0 on Saturday at WOU Turf Field.

It's the most goals for the Wolves (2-1-1) at home since beating Colorado Mesa 3-2 on August 28, 2022, in Monmouth.

WOU got on the board in the 28th minute when Maya Courtenay flicked a ball into the air in front of the goal and Olivia Boger was there to head it in to make it 1-0.

The score remained the same until the 64th minute when Boger struck again - this time one-timing a ball with her left foot off an EOU (0-2-1) keeper save of a ball struck by Kaitlin Taylor.

WOU rounded out its scoring in the 73rd minute when Courtenay scored off her own shot that deflected off the post.

The Wolves allowed just three shot in the match - none on goal.

WOU returns to action 4 p.m. Thursday against Colorado School of Mines in Monmouth.
