MONMOUTH, Ore. --- The 16th-ranked Western Oregon women's soccer team used a pair of second-half goals to defeat No. 18 Seattle Pacific 2-1 on Saturday at WOU Turf Field.
The Wolves (5-1-1 overall, 2-0 GNAC) fell behind the Falcons (3-2-2, 1-1) in the 14th minute and the score remained that way into the second half.
That's when
Olivia Boger scored her third goal of the season off a
Leah Heugly assist to tie the match at 1-1.
With less than 15 minutes remaining, the Wolves took the lead as
Kyra DiBenedetto scored her first goal as a Wolf to complete the comeback and win.
WOU outshot SPU 17-7 in the contest - including 9-4 on shots on goal.
Bella Lopez picked up three saves at keeper for the Wolves.
The Wolves return to action at home Thursday against Central Washington.
