MONMOUTH, Ore. — The Western Oregon men's basketball team fell 84–74 to Montana State Billings on Saturday afternoon at the Wolves Athletic Center.
WOU (8-12, 3-8 GNAC) trailed by three at halftime before Montana State Billings (18-6, 7-4 GNAC) pulled away in the second half. The Wolves stayed within striking distance but were unable to close the gap late.
Carson Frincke led Western Oregon with 20 points, knocking down six 3-pointers, while Jadin Penigar finished with 19 points. AB Gilchrist added 12 points and four assists for WOU.
The Wolves return to action next Saturday at home against Saint Martin's.
