FRESNO, Calif. — The Western Oregon baseball team fell 10–3 to Fresno Pacific on Saturday at Dan Martin Stadium.
The Wolves (2–2) kept the game even through the opening inning before Fresno Pacific (5–3) broke things open with a five-run third and added runs in the fourth and fifth to create separation.
Collin Irwin scored twice and reached base three times for WOU, while Tyler Mohler and Finn O'Connor each drove in a run. O'Connor went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and Zane Garvey added a hit as the Wolves finished with five hits on the day.
Josh Johnson took the loss for Western Oregon, allowing four runs on four hits in 2.2 innings with two strikeouts and three walks.
The Wolves return to action Friday when they open a four-game series at Chico State.
