AS A JUNIOR (2007)
Led Wolves runners in three of six races…Won the Western Oregon Summer End Invite with a 25:01…Finished second at the Saint Martin's Invite in the time of 25:44…Recorded a fourth place finish at the Pacific Lutheran Invite (25:25)…Other top 10 finish came in the West Coast Preview, 10th…Finish 21st at the GNAC championships…Named the GNAC Men's Athlete of the Week, Sept. 3…Named Most Inspirational…Selected as Wolves' co-MVP.

AS A SOPHOMORE          
Finished third for the Wolves at the NCAA Regional meet, taking 52nd place…Placed eighth at St. Martin’s, 28th at Pac. U, 26th at the GNAC championships, finishing as the Wolves third runner each time…Had the top 10K performance for WOU on the track last spring with a time of 32:08.03, and also had the top season mark in the 5K in 15:18.6…Ran the 3,000 meters in 8:46.10.

AS A FRESHMAN
Competed on the track in 2006 for WOU, clocking the best time on the roster in the steeplechase (10:24.01), and had the team’s second best mark in the 1,500 (4:08.13) and 3,000 (8:51)...Ran 15:31 in the 5,000 meters...Placed 36th at the 2005 GNAC cross country championships, WOU’s third runner to cross the finish line.

PRIOR TO WOU
Earned six letters total at Tigard High School in cross country, track and soccer...All-Pac 9 honoree in cross country and track.

PERSONAL
Born in Portland , Ore. , 1987...Health major, Human Biology minor...Parents are Jon and Claudia Karr of Tigard...Nik has an older sister (Hilary) and a younger brother (Justin)….Justin runs track and cross country for Western Oregon .
