Biography

2019 (Senior)
It was a big year for Burnett in 2019, being tabbed the GNAC Defensive Lineman of the Year and was also named to the All-GNAC First Team. Burnett led the team in quarterbakc hurries with eight and was fifth on the team in total tackles with 41, collecting 19 solo. He also had four tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and a blocked kick. Six games this season he has at least four tackles going for a high with six in the season opener against Angelo State. Burnett tallied a pair of tackles for loss against Simon Fraser which included a sack. He added another sack against nationally-ranked Texas A&M-Commerce and had a QB hurry in five games, going for a high with three versus Simon Fraser.

2018 (Junior)
Appeared in one game Sept. 15 against Azusa Pacific.

2017 (Sophomore)
Appeared in all 11 games... recorded 24 tackles, six solo and 18 assisted... recorded 2.0 tackles for losses, 1.0 sack and forced a fumble.

2016 (Freshman)
Played in eight of the 10 games during the year… Credited with seven tackles, three of which were solo… Had two tackles in a game at home versus Simon Fraser (Oct. 8) and again at Azusa Pacific (Nov. 5)… Garnered a tackle for loss against Simon Fraser and a quarterback hurry at APU.
