AS A JUNIOR (2008)
Led the Wolves in interceptions with five…Started all 11 games as an outside linebacker…Had 75 tackles (40 solo)…His four sacks and 10 tackles for loss were second on the team…Recorded a tackle in all 11 games…Posted double-digit tackle performances in three games to start the year…Twice had 11 tackles, season-bests…Returned an interception 18 yards for a touchdown against Dixie State…Also forced a fumble, had two quarterback hurries and two pass breakups.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2007)
Named the team’s Defensive Captain in the game versus Humboldt State…Recorded 35 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one interception and three fumble recoveries…Posted a season-high five tackles on three occasions…Had a 30-yard fumble return for a touchdown against Linfield.

AS A FRESHMAN (2006)
Gavin played in five games for the Wolves as a backup linebacker…Made five tackles, two solo.

AS A REDSHIRT (2005)
Spent the 2005 season as a red-shirt in the WOU program...Named the team’s Defensive Scout Player of the Week on Sept. 26 and on Nov. 7.

PRIOR TO WOU
2005 graduate of Madras High School…Honorable mention all-state pick (3A) as a running back…First team All-Tri-Valley League as a linebacker and running back…Played in the Shrine Game…First team all-league as a junior at linebacker, second team at running back…Earned second team all-league honors as a sophomore on defense…Lettered one season in baseball at catcher.

PERSONAL
Born in Corvallis, Ore…Health major, Physical Education minor…Parents are Ron Romanick and Kristy Miller...Dad is a chiropractor, Mom is a massage therapist…Ron played baseball at the University of Washington…Gavin has one brother, Preston (24).
