Spending the season as a redshirt at WOU, the freshman was named the team’s Scout Team Offense Player of the Week versus Texas A&M-Kingsville.

2006 graduate of Bonners Ferry High School...Honored as the league Offensive Player of the Year in 2005…Participated in the East-West Shrine All-Star game in 2006…A four-time letter winner for both football and track and field…Lettered twice for the Badgers basketball team…Spent the 2006 season as a redshirt at the University of Idaho.

Born in Oklahoma City, Okla…Business major, Psychology minor…Parents are Greg and Diana Botkin of Bonners Ferry, Idaho…Dad works is a doctor, Mom is an artist…Sam has two older sisters, Katie (27) and Bess (24), and two younger brothers, Daniel (19) and Isaiah (14).
