AS A REDSHIRT (2011)
Was injured in the first game of the season…Was able to get a redshirt season…Redshirted with the Wolves in 2011.

AS A JUNIOR (2010)
Finished fourth on the team with 67 total tackles and 7.5 tackles for loss…Posted 27 solo tackles…Had a career-high 10 tackles against Humboldt State…Recorded 2.5 tackles for loss in the game…Had fumble recoveries against Simon Fraser and Dixie State…Also registered two pass break-ups…Started all 11 games at outside linebacker.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2009)
Played in seven games, including starting against UC Davis…Recorded seven tackles (five solo)…Had two sacks on the season, one each against Eastern Washington and Humboldt State…Had an interception against Southern Oregon.

AS A FRESHMAN (2008)
Played in five games…Recorded one assisted tackle.

AS A REDSHIRT (2007)
Spending the season as a redshirt at WOU, the freshman was named the team’s Scout Team Defense Player of the Week versus Humboldt State.

PRIOR TO WOU
A 2007 graduate of Hudson’s Bay (Wash.) High School…Lettered three times each in football and basketball…A two time first team all-league selection in football…Played in the East-West Shrine Game…Had a prep-best game of 163 yards receiving against Columbia River.

Born in South Lake Tahoe, Calif….Plans to major in Business and minor in Sports Management…Wants to become an athletic director…Parents are Donnie and Louise Vercher of Vancouver, Wash….Dad works in construction, Mom as a phlebotomist…Sherman has eight siblings: Lihi (26), Nakia (24), Donnie (23), Shirley (22), Jay (20), Isaiah (18), Ramona (16), and Karol (2)…Brother Donnie played football at College of the Siskiyous.
