Biography
Josie Ackerman arrives at WOU for the 2020-21 season after competing at Ingraham High School in Seattle, Wash., where she specialized in mostly distance events. Some of her top marks include a PR in the 3,200, 6:09 in the 1,600, while also competing in the 800, 600 and 400. This past year, Ackerman ran in the 1,600 posting a ninth-place finish in early April, winning the 3,200 at the Ingraham, Roosevelt and Brainbridge meet and she was also part of the distance medley relay team. During the 2017 season, Ackerman claimed an eighth-place finish in the 3,200 and in the 2018 season added a ninth-place finish in the 3,200, while adding three finishes in the top-15. Ackerman also collected five top-20 results in the 1,600 and came in 14th in the 600.
