Biography
Smith competed at Bandon High School in Bandon, Ore., running both sprints and distances. Some of her top times include a 15.27 in the 100, 32.13 in the 200, 1:08.60 in the 400, 2:38.37 in the 800, 5:26.57 in the 1,500 and 12:47.35 in the 3,000. During this past outdoor season, she placed fourth in the 400, added a pair of wins and five top-five finishes in the 800, placed fifth in the 1,500, came in sixth in the 3,000 and also was part of several relay teams. Smith was part of the 4x200 that came in fifth and the 4x400 that tallied a pair of wins and five top-five finishes. Smith also ran in a few sprint medley relays coming in second and fourth and then in the distance medley relay coming in first and second. During the 2018 season, some of Smith's top results include fourth in the 100, a pair of second-place results in the 400, third in the 800 and was part of the 4x400 relay that tallied a win and three top-five finishes.
