SEATTLE - Jessica Harper was the lone representative from the Western Oregon track and field team to compete at the Husky Classic, Saturday, Feb. 14.

She posted a 5:13.06 in the mile to rank fourth in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference this season. Harper earned the mark despite falling down after colliding with another runner.

The WOU track and field team will compete in the UW Indoor Open Sunday, Feb. 15, before traveling to Nampa, Idaho for the GNAC Indoor Championships Saturday, Feb. 21.

Former track and field student-athlete and current volunteer assistant coach Sarah Howell won heat two of the women's 800m as she competed unattached.
