Danielle Reese each posted double-digit kills but the Western Oregon volleyball could not overcome Grand Canyon as it lost in four sets, 25-23, 19-25, 25-21 and 25-19, Saturday, Sept. 12 its final game of the Viking Invitational.
The lost dropped the Wolves season record to 3-8 as the Lopes went to 8-2.
Peterson posted an impressive .562 hitting percentage as she hammered down 11 kills with just two errors in 16 attempts. Reese recorded her fourth double-double of the tournament with 12 kills and a team-high 17 digs.
Amy Herron had 41 assists in the losing effort.
The Wolves lost the battle at the net by the count of 9.5 to 7 and hitting percentage by a mark of .254 to .203.
The Western Oregon volleyball team will now return home to open the Great Northwest Athletic Conference schedule with Central Washington Thursday, Sept. 17th at 7:00 p.m.
