Box Score CHICO, Calif. - Ashley Perlman knocked in a rebound in the 85th minute to give Chico State a 1-0 victory over Western Oregon University Friday, Sept. 4.

The loss dropped the Wolves to 1-2 on the year while the Wildcats improved to 2-1.

The match was tightly contested throughout. After being outshot in the first half, WOU matched Chico State with eight shots and had a 3-0 advantage in corner kicks in the second period.

WOU once again split time at goalie as Kelsie Blackly pitched a shutout in the first half before Brittney Rigtrup took over duties in net. Sam Slezak led the team with three shots.

The Wolves will now travel to San Francisco to take on San Francisco State, Sept. 6, at 12:30 p.m.
