Andy Loscutoff of the Western Oregon University track & field team leads the Great Northwest Athletic Conference men's decathlon with 3264 points after the first day of competition (May 3).
The junior from Canby, Ore. (Canby High School), won the men's 400m dash by nearly 2.5 seconds with a time of 50.82 to collect 777 points in the event. He tied for second in the high jump after clearing 5-11.5 (1.82m). He also placed sixth in the shot put (35-6.75/10.84m) and the long jump (19-11/6.07m), and tied for fifth in the 100m dash (11.73).
Jake Hyde, of Estacada, Ore. (Estacada High School), broke the GNAC decathlon record in the long jump with a leap of 22-7.25 (6.89m) to win the event and grab 788 points. He currently stands fourth overall with 3186 points.
Austin Roberts, of Hillsboro, Ore. (Century High School), is in 14th with 2668 points.
Ali Mosher is the only Wolf representing WOU in the women's heptathlon. She currently stands ninth with 2179 points. Mosher placed sixth in the 100m dash (28.15) and seventh in the 100m hurdles (16.17) for her best two finishes of the day.
Crystal Sims of Seattle Pacific leads the women's heptathlon after winning three of the four events on the opening day.
