Join the Western Oregon track & field team Friday, June 4, for a showdown of the sexes, as Jason Slowey will take on Ali Mosher in a modified heptathlon.

The two will go head-to-head in seven events to determine a champion and who holds the bragging rights for an entire year.

Both will compete on the low hurdles and in all running events, however Mosher will have the opportunity to throw the women's shot put while Slowey will be tossing around the men's.

Mosher does have the distinct advantage in that she has competed in a heptathlon earlier this season at the GNAC Championships, while Slowey will finally move out of the throwing pits and onto the track.

The events will begin at 1:00 p.m., and will take place at McArthur Field and in the Rubber Room of the New PE Building.
