BURNABY, B.C.
- The Simon Fraser Clan scored two unassisted goals to overcome eight saves by Wolves' goalie Brittney Rigtrup and earn a 2-0 victory on Saturday, Sept. 18.

The win moved Simon Fraser to 2-0 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference and to 3-1 overall. The loss was the Wolves' second of their conference opening road trip, as they fell to 1-5 on the season and to 0-2 in conference play.

The Clan got on the board first in the 25th minute when Lia Marining booted a loose ball in. They would add one more in the 67th minute on a rebound goal from Aly Benes.

SFU outshot WOU 13-6 which included a 10-3 shot on goal advantage.

Marina Austin led the Wolves with two shots. Amelia Ng made three saves for Simon Fraser.

Western Oregon will now go to Central Washington to face the Wildcats on Sept 23 at 4:00 p.m., as part of their GNAC season-opening road trip.
