BILLINGS, Mont. –
Taylor Thompson's second half goal helped the Western Oregon University women's soccer erase a second-half deficit to earn a 1-1 draw against Montana State Billings on Thursday, Oct. 13th, at Yellowjackets Soccer Field.

After a scoreless first half, the Wolves (4-5-3, 3-3-2 GNAC) and Yellowjackets came alive during the second stanza. In the 65th minute, the Wolves entered the Yellowjackets defensive zone looking to even up the score after Montana State Billings' Jaucelyn Richter gave the Yellowjackets a 1-0 lead in the 61st minute.

As Thompson saw an open lane after receiving nice passes from Kymberly Witmer and Chelsy Okuma, Thompson fired the ball from 13 yards out and watched it fly into the left side of the goal, knotting the match at one goal apiece.

The goal was Thompson's first goal on the season as she also had three shots, two on goal, during the match.

Lindsay Bauman led the way for the Wolves in the shot department with four, while Rebecca Hoiland, Cassandra Olson, and JoEllen DeLeon each had a shot of their own to round the Wolves' shot total to 10.

WOU and MSUB (8-1-3, 5-0-3 GNAC) have now finished out the 2011 season against each other with two draws.

The Wolves will return to action when they travel to Nampa, Idaho, where they will get set to battle Northwest Nazarene on Saturday, Oct. 15th at noon.
