LAS VEGAS
- Western Oregon scored three runs in the top of the sixth to come from behind and defeat Western New Mexico 5-2 to earn their second straight victory at the Desert Stinger Classic.

Trailing 2-1 entering the sixth inning, Jessica Hallmark launched a ball over the center field wall to tie the game at 2-2. The Wolves would not stop there as the next batter, Andrea Bailey, singled to center and then was able to scamper all the way around to third on a sacrifice bunt. She would score the go-ahead run on a single by Kelsie Didion and Didion would eventually come around to score on a double by Jessica Wood, giving WOU the 4-2 lead.

Wood, who had entered the game in the fifth with two runners on, held the Mustangs scoreless over the final two innings for the win. Alex Hillmick started the game for WOU and went 4.2 innings while allowing just one hit and two runs. Her only mistake came in the fourth inning when she hung a ball which Western New Mexico's Ricki Gentry took out of the yard for the Mustangs' only runs of the day.

Hallmark led the Wolves' offense. She went 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI while also scoring two runs. Didion, Bailey and Tierra-Lyn Cuba added the other runs for Western Oregon which outhit Western New Mexico 7-3.
