LAS VEGAS - Cal State Monterey Bay exploded for six runs in the top of the first inning to earn a 12-2 win over Western Oregon at the Desert Stinger Classic.

The Otters got four RBI apiece from Nina Villanueva and Nicole Pires. Amanda Evola had two hits and two RBI to lead the Wolves. Evola now has seven runs batted in the Wolves' first four games.
