LACEY, Wash.
– Montana State Billings put together an 11-2 run in the final two minutes of the game to claim an 80-75 victory and knock Western Oregon out of the GNAC Tournament on Wednesday, Feb. 29.

The Wolves overcame an 11-point second half deficit with a 14-2 run, to take a four-point lead with six minutes. But the guards for MSU Billings proved to be too much down the stretch. First Jaxon Myaer gave the Yellowjackets the lead with a three-pointer, then first team All-GNAC selection Antoine Proctor scored five of his 15 points in the final minute to lift MSU Billings into the conference semifinals.

Blair Wheadon scored 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting to lead three Wolves in double figures.

The first half of the game was back-and-forth but WOU managed to take a one-point lead (40-39) into the locker room thanks to 11 first half points apiece from Wheadon and Kolton Nelson.

The Wolves will now await their fate for the NCAA West Regional. WOU was No. 6 entering the weekend. Selections will be made this Sunday, Mar. 4.
