MONMOUTH, Ore. – The Western Oregon softball team returns to action this week as the Wolves travel to Turlock, Calif., for the Tournament of Champions and open play on Friday, March 30, when they face Dominican at 10:00 a.m.

The tournament will consist of at least six games as the Wolves will also face Cal State Stanislaus (March 30, 1:15 p.m.), Chaminade (March 30, 8:00 p.m.), Cal State San Bernadino (March 31, 11:15 a.m.) and Cal State Dominguez Hills (March 31, 3:45 p.m.) before the start of bracket play.

Western Oregon enters the final non-conference tournament of the season with a mark of 5-16 after falling in a four-game series at Montana State Billings last week. Amadna Evola continues her outstanding freshman season as she leads the team with a .421 batting average while hitting six home runs and leading the team with 21 RBI.

Eryka Brill has seen the most time in the circle for the Wolves, posting a team-leading 3.38 ERA in 29.0 innings of work.

Following the tournament, Western Oregon will return to action on Friday, April 6, as the host Simon Fraser in a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 p.m.
