WOU enters the weekend with a record of 7-10 on the season as the Wolves split eight games in Hawaii last week. Hannah Pomeroy and Lexi Orteza led the Wolves on the road trip as they were named Great Northwest Athletic Conference Pitcher and Player of the Week, respectively, for their performances on the road trip.

Pomeroy posted a 3-0 record with a 1.84 earned run average in Hawaii as she leads the Wolves with 44.2 innings pitched and a 4-1 overall mark.  As a staff, the Wolves rank fourth in the league with a 3.98 ERA and third in the conference in opponent batting average at .301.

Amanda Evola leads a balanced WOU offensive attack as the sophomore leads the Wolves in batting average (.347), home runs (3), RBI (12, and slugging percentage (.377). After a week in which she batted .385 with 10 hits and a team-high seven runs, Orteza leads the Wolves in runs scored (13) and on-base percentage (.419).

WOU ranks sixth in the league in hitting, averaging .262 as a team; however, the Wolves rank second in the GNAC in runs scored with 80.

Corban, a NAIA member of the Cascade Collegiate Conference, enters the week with a mark of 8-2 on the season after sweeping four games at the Northwest Cup last weekend. The Warriors are led by Courtney Castronovo as she leads the team with a .469 batting average while Stephanie Nippert leads Corban with six home runs and 17 RBI. Corban has five players hitting .300 or better as the Warriors are hitting .319 as a team.

Chelsea Schriber leads Corban in the circle as she has posted a 3-1 record with a 1.67 ERA in 21.0 innings of work.

Meanwhile, Concordia enters the week with an impressive 14-3 mark after going 3-2 at last week's Southern Oregon tournament. The Cavaliers are led by Taylor Copher as she leads the team in batting average (.466) and runs scored (19). Concordia has hit .356 as a team through 17 contests as the Cavaliers have hit 23 home runs.

Ashley Suter leads Concordia in the circle as she has posted a perfect 7-0 record with a 1.85 ERA in 56.2 innings of work. Suter has held opponents to just 18 runs while striking out 67.

The Wolves own a 5-3 record all-time against Corban while holding a decided, 49-14, advantage in the series against Concordia.

Admission to the home opener on Sunday is $6 for adults and $4 for non-WOU students and seniors as current WOU students are admitted for free with a valid identification card. WOU Spring All-Sports passes will also be available for $35, which allows bearer one general admission ticket to all WOU baseball, softball and track & field home events (excluding postseason events).

Following this week's action, WOU will open conference play when the Wolves host Montana State Billings on Friday, March 8, for a doubleheader at 12:00 p.m.
