Box Score MONMOUTH, Ore. – The Western Oregon women's soccer team was unable to hold off Seattle Pacific as an 86th-minute goal from Heather Young gave the Falcons a 1-0 victory over the Wolves in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference match on Thursday night. With the win, WOU falls to 2-1-2 overall while Seattle Pacific moves to 4-1-0 on the season.
WOU found itself on the defensive side of the ball from the start; however, the Wolves would manage to keep the Falcons at bay until Young's strike with a little less than five minutes to play.
Off a cross by Taylor Hauck, Young headed home the game-winner to give the Falcons the lead in the 86th minute.

Amanda Rose Johnson became the tough-luck loser in goal for the Wolves, making a season-high nine stops in the loss.
Natalie Harold made three saves in goal for SPU to record the shutout win.
WOU will look to rebound from the loss as the Wolves travel to Ellensburg, Wash., to face Central Washington on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 11:30 a.m.
