MONMOUTH, Ore. -- The Western Oregon University men's basketball team makes its final road trips of the regular season at the University of Alaska Thursday and the University of Alaska-Anchorage Saturday. With four games left in the regular season, the Wolves are currently in fifth place in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference standings.

LAST TIME OUT
• Western Oregon grabbed a key road victory at Saint Martin's last Saturday, 70-62.
• WOU 25 more points than the Saints at the free throw line. The Wolves finished 29-of-38 from the line, while SMU was 4-of-7.
• Andy Avgi led all scorers with 21 points for Western Oregon. The sophomore added a game-high 11 rebounds.
• All four ties and lead changes occurred in the first seven minutes of the game. WOU went on a 19-4 run to break a 10-10 tie.

WESTERN OREGON STORYLINES
• Western Oregon has won four of its last five games, and sits in the fifth spot in the GNAC standings with four games left.
• The Wolves are 13th in NCAA Div. II with a 220 total steal. Their 9.2 steals per game is 13th in the nation. Both stats lead the conference.
• Devon Alexander leads the conference with 50 steals. His 2.08 steals per outing leads the GNAC. Rodney Webster is eighth at 1.46.
• WOU is second in the GNAC holding opponents to 44 percent shooting from the field.
• The Wolves are 11-1 this season when they have a better field goal percentage than their opponent, and 9-0 when they shoot 50 percent.

ABOUT THE NANOOKS
• After opening the season picked fifth in the GNAC Preseason Poll, Alaska is a half game out of second place in the standings.
• The Nanooks are a win away from clinching a spot in the postseason.
• UAF commits a conference-low 15.7 fouls per game, which is also 10th in the country.
• The Nanooks' 4.0 turnover margin is 19th in the country.
• Alaska's starters are averaging 58.5 of the team's 71.7 points per game.
• Ronnie Baker leads the Nanooks with an average of 14.6 points per contest, but four other players also average double-digits.
• Andrew Kelly leads the GNAC shooting 68.8 percent from the field.

SERIES HISTORY
• The Wolves and Alaska meet for the 32nd time.
• After winning four straight in the series, WOU has lost three consecutive meetings with the Nanooks.
• Western Oregon has won six of the last 10 meetings.

ABOUT THE SEAWOLVES
• Alaska Anchorage was picked second in the GNAC Preseason Poll, receiving one first place vote, but sits fourth currently in the standings.
• After losing three straight, the Seawolves have won their last two.
• UAA leads the country in three-point attempts (827) and made three-pointers (327). It is third with 12.6 made three-pointers per outing.
• Alaska Anchorage is first in the nation averaging only 8.2 turnovers per contest, and is 15th with 17.6 assists per game.
• Travis Thompson's 21.5 points per game is second in the GNAC, and he is fifth in the country in total points scored.
• Brian McGill is seventh in the country in total assists (155).

SERIES HISTORY
• The Wolves and UAA meet for the 32nd time.
• The Seawolves have won eight straight, dating back to a 76-65 Western Oregon win in Anchorage on Jan. 23, 2010.
• The last WOU win in Monmouth over UAA was in 2006, 81-76.
