MONMOUTH, Ore. -- The Western Oregon University men's basketball team has two important home games this week as it host Simon Fraser University (B.C.) Wednesday in regionally televised matchup on ROOT Sports and Western Washington University on Senior Day. The Wolves need to win one of the final two regular season games to clinch a spot in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference tournament.
LAST TIME OUT
• Alaska-Anchorage made a conference record 27 three-pointers in a 96-77 win over Western Oregon last Saturday.
• The Seawolves went 27-for-41 from behind-the-arc, while making 7-of-14 from inside the perimeter.
• Kyle Fossman also broke a conference record making 12 of his 16 three-pointers. The senior finished with a career-high 40 points.
•
Rodney Webster led four double-digit scorers for Western Oregon with 19 points off of the bench.
WESTERN OREGON STORYLINES
• Western Oregon has won five of its last seven games, and sits in the fifth spot in the GNAC standings with two games left.
• WOU needs one more win to clinch a spot in the GNAC tournament.
• The Wolves are 13th in NCAA Div. II with a 240 total steal. Their 9.2 steals per game is 13th in the nation. Both stats lead the conference.

Devon Alexander leads the conference with 55 steals. His 2.1 steals per outing leads the GNAC.
Rodney Webster is fifth at 1.6.
• The Wolves are 12-1 this season when they have a better field goal percentage than their opponent, and 9-0 when they shoot 50 percent.
ABOUT THE CLAN
• Simon Fraser has lost four of its past five, and six of its last eight. It is 3-11 since the new year.
• The Clan has won two of its nine contests away from home this season.
• Six of their last seven games have been decided by 10 points or less.
• SFU's 38.6 percent from the field shooting is third in the GNAC.
• Sango Niang leads the Clan with an average of 15.6 points per game. His 5.5 assists per outing is third in the conference.

ABOUT THE VIKINGS
• Perennial power Western Washington remains in contention for the Great Northwest Athletic Conference regular season title.
