MONMOUTH, Ore. – The Western Oregon University softball team returns to the road this weekend at Simon Fraser University (B.C.) Friday and Western Washington University Sunday.

The Wolves (13-10, 4-0 Great Northwest Athletic Conference) have won six straight games, and eight of their last nine. They have only played three true road contests so far this season, winning one. Simon Fraser will be playing its first home games of its season Friday.

Western Oregon has scored 6.1 runs per games this season, which is third in the conference, but 39th in NCAA Div. II. Melanie Pfeiffer is third individually in the GNAC crossing the plate 1.05 times per outing. Amanda Evola is first in the conference in doubles per game, while Bridjet Box leads in sacrifice flies. On the mound, Kelli Demianew tops the GNAC in saves and walks per seven innings. Jourdan Williams is first in walks thrown.

Simon Fraser (0-13, 0-4 GNAC) has yet to win a game this season, and is coming off of road losses at Central Washington and Western Washington last week. Kaitlyn Cameron leads the Clan with a .371 batting average and a .514 slugging percentage. She has five doubles and six RBI. Danielle Raison also had six RBI this season off of two doubles and a home run. Jessica Goulet (0-6) has the most appearances on the mound for SFU. She has a 5.89 ERA.

Alexie Levin leads Western Washington (10-5, 2-2) with a .542 batting average. Levin has already driven in 24 runs with 26 hits, including five home runs and five doubles. All those are team-leading figures and the homer total tops the conference. The Vikings are first in the GNAC with a .366 batting average. Their 7.33 runs per game and .544 slugging percentage not only top the GNAC, but are 11th in the country. WWU is third in the conference with a 2.83 ERA. Jenna DeRosier and Aspen Ison have 4-2 records on the mound.

Friday's doubleheader first pitch at Simon Fraser is scheduled for 6 p.m. The Western Washington doubleheader is scheduled to start at 12 p.m. Sunday. Both doubleheaders will have live stats on WOUWolves.com.
