FULL NOTES (PDF)MONMOUTH, Ore. -- The Western Oregon University softball team returns to the road for a doubleheader at Saint Martin's University in Lacey, Wash., Saturday.
LAST TIME OUT• Central Washington swept Western Oregon in conference play last Saturday, 8-0 and 8-6.
• The Wildcats won their third and fourth straight games and clinched a spot in the conference tournament.

Jourdan Williams had three RBI and
Melanie Pfeiffer finished with three hits.
MARCH MADNESS• The Wolves completed the month of March with a 16-2 record. Their two losses were by one run.
• Among WOU's 16 victories in March, only one was decided by a single run, and the average margin of victory was by 5.4 runs.

Amanda Evola, who hit .516 and .492, in March.
• In March,
Kelli Demianew allowed just four earned runs in 53.0 innings. She completed all six games that she started.
BY THE NUMBERS• Western Oregon has clinched a berth in the GNAC Championships held May 1-3 in Richland, Wash.
• The Wolves are fourth in NCAA Div. II averaging 0.55 double plays.

Kelli Demianew leads the GNAC with a 1.99 ERA. Her two saves and two shutouts also top the conference.
• In the GNAC,
Melanie Pfeiffer is third with a .429 batting average.
Amanda Evola and
Kelsie Gardner are sixth and seventh.
• Those three are first, second, and third in total hits; Pfeiffer (69), Evola (55), and Gardner (52). They also lead the conference in runs scored; Pfeiffer (43), Gardner (43), and Evola (39).
• Evola's 13 doubles, 41 RBI, and 93 total bases pace the GNAC as well.
WE'RE GOING STREAKING• Western Oregon's eight straight wins to open the conference schedule was the best GNAC start in program history.
• The Wolves had their 10-game win streak snapped with a 3-2 home loss to Central Washington, one victory shy of the program record.
• Evola has the longest hit streak in the GNAC this season at 16 games, Pfeiffer's streak of 15 is right behind.
• Demianew had her seven straight wins on the mound snapped at the Tournament of Champions.
REWRITING THE RECORD BOOK• Western Oregon is one double play away from 25, breaking the previous program record for the most in a single season set in 2012.
• Pfeiffer is currently first in highest single season batting average in program history.
• Evola is four RBI away from tying the program's most in season and career history.
