MONMOUTH, Ore. -- The Western Oregon University softball team travels to Turlock, Calif., for another appeareance in the Tournament of Champions presented by Turlock CVB and hosted by Cal State-Stanislaus. The Wolves will play at least six games against West Region opponents.

LAST TIME OUT
• Western Oregon won its fifth straight game, and 15th out of its last 16 games, with a series sweep fourth game win at Northwest Nazarene.
• The Wolves completed the four-game sweep with the 9-0 victory last Saturday. WOU outscored the Crusaders 41-8 in the four wins.
• In the circle, Kelli Demianew allowed four hits, but no runs.

MARCH MADNESS
• The Wolves completed the month of March with a 16-2 record. Their two losses were by one run.
• Among WOU's 16 victories in March, only one was decided by a single run, and the average margin of victory was by 5.4 runs.
• Melanie Pfeiffer and Amanda Evola, who hit .516 and .492, in March.
• In March, Kelli Demianew allowed just four earned runs in 53.0 innings. She completed all six games that she started.

BY THE NUMBERS
• Western Oregon is three conference wins away from clinching a berth in the GNAC Championships held May 1-3 in Richland, Wash.
• The Wolves are fourth in NCAA Div. II averaging 0.63 double plays.
• Kelli Demianew leads the GNAC with a 1.73 ERA. Her two saves and two shutouts also top the conference.
• In the GNAC, Melanie Pfeiffer and Amanda Evola are third and fourth with .446 and .437 batting averages. Kelsie Gardner is fifth at .400.
• Those three are first, second, and third in total hits; Pfeiffer (54), Evola (52), and Gardner (44). They also lead the conference in runs scored; Pfeiffer (38), Gardner (37), and Evola (34).
• Evola's 11 doubles, 35 RBI, and 75 total bases pace the GNAC as well. • Jourdan Williams has been walked more than any batter in the conference at 17 times.

WE'RE GOING STREAKING
• Western Oregon's eight straight wins to open the conference schedule was the best GNAC start in program history.
• The Wolves had their 10-game win streak snapped with a 3-2 home loss to Central Washington, one victory shy of the program record.
• Evola currently has the seventh longest hit streak in GNAC history at 15 games, equaling Pfeiffer's streak earlier this season.
• Demianew, who has won seven straight on the mound, has allowed one earned run in the last 36.2 innings.

REWRITING THE RECORD BOOK
• Western Oregon is three double plays away from 25, breaking the previous program record for the most in a single season set in 2012.
• Pfeiffer and Evola are currently first and second in highest single season batting average in program history.
• Pfeiffer is 10 runs away from breaking Tyler Sutherland's five-year-old record for most runs scored in a single season with 47.
