MONMOUTH, Ore. – Western Oregon soccer will take a couple short trips this week to Saint Martin's on Thursday, October 15 and to Concordia on Saturday, October 17.

Last week, the Wolves fell to two top competitors in the GNAC at home. On October 6, Concordia scored one goal in each half for the 2-0 victory. On October 10, Western Oregon fell to Seattle Pacific, 3-1. Despite a first-half goal from the Falcons,
Savannah Bogan tied the game up with a shot that soared to the top right corner of the goal. Seattle Pacific, however, responded with two more goals to take the win.

The Wolves gave hard-fought battles in both matches, but the results did not show in their favor. They seek to recuperate and continue moving forward in the games to come this week.

PRODUCING OPPORTUNITIESThe Wolves have created numerous scoring opportunities this season. They average 11.91 shots per game with 131 total and 59 shots on goal. Their shot percentage is .137, and they average 1.64 goals per game.

SUPPORT IN THE BACKGoalkeeper
Lindsey Mabinuori has started and played in nine games this season. She averages 1.05 in goals against. Facing 83 shots, she has made 36 saves with her save percentage at .800.
Nicole Tejada also saw some minutes in goal this past week as she played in the second half of the Concordia game and played the entire Seattle Pacific match. Overall, she has played in four games this season, averaging 1.46 goals against her. Tejada has faced 22 shots, made six saves, and has a .600 save percentage.

Dana Goularte has seen the most minutes, playing a total of 963 minutes this season. Defenders
Brooke Steinberg,
Dani Payne,
Caitlin Castillo, and
Sarah Thompson have also played a significant amount of minutes, keeping the goals against total at 13.

ABOUT SAINT MARTIN'SThe Saints are looking for their first conference win this season after playing six GNAC games. Last week, they endured a 5-0 loss against Simon Fraser and a 3-0 loss against Central Washington.

Saint Martin's has scored 10 goals this season. Abby McFaul leads the team in goals (3), assists (3), and shots (27). Kelli Bannerman also has three goals under her belt, while Hannah Frakes has two.

Ali Kohler and Sunny DeBoer have played the majority of minutes in goal as each has appeared in five games this season. Chelsie Still has also appeared in two games. Together, the goalkeepers have faced 163 shots and allowed 27 goals.

ABOUT CONCORDIAConcordia continues to stand at the top of the GNAC in second place behind Western Washington. Last week, after their 2-0 victory against the Wolves, the Cavaliers experienced their first conference loss against Seattle Pacific as the final score was 3-1.

Three Cavaliers have each scored three goals this season, including Shannon McMahon, Sydney Van Steenberge, and Karlie Hurley. Gabrielle Ewing and Bobbi Eckler have also contributed with two goals each. Overall, Concordia has scored 18 goals this season and taken 168 shots with 69 of them on target. The Cavaliers average 15.3 shots per game.

As a team, they have allowed seven goals, and goalkeeper Olivia Brock has faced 111 shots, made 40 saves, and recorded five shutouts.
