MONMOUTH, Ore. – Western Oregon soccer will compete in their final home games of the season this week against Northwest Nazarene on Thursday and Montana State Billings on Saturday for Senior Day.

Last week, the Wolves defeated Saint Martin's 2-0 on the road as
Vicky Cruz Rosales scored an early goal and
Machaela Rapozo secured the win with a second half goal. The Wolves also traveled to Portland to face Concordia. After a well-fought battle, the results did not reflect their effort as they endured a 2-0 loss. Both goals were conceded in the second half with the final one finding the back of the net in the last 42 seconds of the match.

Western Oregon will look to complete their home record on a positive note as they are currently 3-3-0 at home this season.

SENIOR DAYOn Saturday, the team will recognize eight seniors and their accomplishments as student-athletes during the pregame ceremony. The list of seniors includes Rosales,
Caitlin Castillo,
Allison Frost,
Brooke Steinberg,
Julie Belden,
Makana Pundyke,
Sarah Thompson, and
Dana Goularte.

DOUBLE THREATSeniors Rosales and Pundyke continue to lead the Wolves in goals as each athlete has scored five this season. With a shot percentage of .263, Rosales has taken 19 shots with 12 on goal, while Pundyke has a .217 shot percentage, taking 23 shots with 12 on goal. Both players have scored game winning goals this season as Pundyke has two and Rosales has one.

PAIR OF ASSISTSA number of players on the team have contributed to creating scoring opportunities. Five Wolves each have two assists this season including Rosales, Goularte,
Dani Payne,
Taylor Higa, and
Dacia Alexander.

ABOUT NORTHWEST NAZARENEThe Crusaders are currently matched with the Wolves in the GNAC standings as each team has seven points. Last week, Northwest Nazarene experienced two losses against Simon Fraser and Central Washington. The results were identical for the games since they both went to the first overtime and the Crusaders lost 2-1 in each match.

Northwest Nazarene has scored 22 goals and allowed 24 this season. Nicole Nsa is the main goal scorer as she has scored six. Lexi Fesenbek is also high on the leader charts as she has four goals and four assists this season. Additionally, Ashley Cook-Cox has made an impact by leading the team in assists with six, and she has also scored one goal.

Goalkeeper Daniele Ortiz has played in all 13 games, facing 245 shots and making 90 saves.
