MONMOUTH, Ore. – Western Oregon soccer will battle in their final games of the regular GNAC season on Thursday against Seattle Pacific and on Saturday against Simon Fraser.

Last week, the Wolves split their games with a 3-1 win against Northwest Nazarene and a 1-0 loss against Montana State Billings. On October 22,
Dana Goularte,
Makana Pundyke, and
Taylor Higa each tallied a goal to secure the victory against the Crusaders, despite one Northwest Nazarene goal in the first half. Two days later on October 24, the Wolves outshot the YellowJackets, 14-4, but the lone goal of the game went to Montana State Billings.

As Western Oregon soccer is seventh in the GNAC standings and currently has a 2-3-1 away record, they look to close the season with two road victories in Seattle and Burnaby.

Six Wolves are in double digits when it comes to total shots including Pundyke (28), Higa (27), Rosales (22), Konyn (18),

ABOUT SEATTLE PACIFICCurrently third in the GNAC standings, the Falcons have clinched a conference tournament berth. They are 10-3-2 overall and 6-3-2 in GNAC play. Last week, Seattle Pacific went into double overtime with Central Washington, but ended the game in a 1-1 tie. They also hosted Saint Martin's at home and defeated them, 4-0.

Overall, the Falcons have scored 25 goals and taken a total of 277 shots. Hannah Huesers leads the GNAC in goals and shots as she has totaled 12 goals and 73 shots this season, averaging 4.87 shots per game. Laura Moore is also a significant component in the offense as she has five goals and three assists. On the supportive end, Isabel Farrell, who also has two goals, and Mickayla Mury each have four assists.

Defensively, Seattle Pacific has allowed 12 goals this season, limiting their opponents to take 136 shots total. Goalkeeper Molly Stinson has made 52 saves, and she has five shutouts under her belt.

ABOUT SIMON FRASERSimon Fraser sits tied with Central Washington in fifth place in the GNAC standings with 13 points. With a 6-5-2 overall record and a 4-5-1 conference record, the Clan looks to earn a spot in the GNAC tournament. Last week, Simon Fraser endured two road losses. Western Washington downed the Clan with four goals, whereas Central Washington had the final say in a 5-2 victory.

The Clan has scored 16 goals and made 204 shots. The majority of their goals have come from Christina Dickson as she has seven goals, and she also has three assists.
