LAST WEEKThe Wolves went 2-0 last week, extending their best start to a season since the 1981-82 season (22-0) to 6-0. In the Notre Dame de Namur post-Thanksgiving Tournament, WOU defeated the host Argonuats 81-51 and Holy Names 84-75.
Andy Avgi had a great weekend with 24 points against NDNU and 29 points in the victory over HNU. The Wolves shot over 50 percent from the floor in each game.
STILL TOP 10, POSSIBLY HIGHER?On Tuesday, the Wolves will learn if they moved any higher in the NABC National Top 25 Division II and D2SIDA Media polls. Having won both games last week, the Wolves are expected to remain in the Top 10 of the NACB poll and may rise in the D2SIDA poll. On Monday, WOU actually dropped one spot to third in the D2SIDA West Region Media Poll behind Cal Poly Pomona and Dec. 14 opponent, UC San Diego.
PICK POCKETSWestern Oregon leads the Great Northwest Athletic Conference in steals per game (11.0) by 2.5 picks over Alaska. The Wolves also lead the GNAC in turnover margin (+6.5).

Andy Avgi has a team-leading 24.3 points per game, having scored 20 or more points in all four games he has played this season, including a 29-point performance in his last game against Holy Names. Avgi also leads the Wolves in rebounding at 6.0 per game, with

Devon Alexander following with 5.5 boards per contest each.

Alex Roth has been in double figures in five of six games this season, averaging 13.0 points per game. He has knocked home a 3-pointer in every game, including a season-high four makes leading to 18 points against Warner Pacific on Nov. 21. Roth ranks second on the team with his .846 free throw percentage (22 of 26).

Tanner Omlid are currently averaging 12.0 points per game. Nichols continues to produce solid numbers in the all-around game: .778 free throw percentage, 4.3 assists per game (team-high) and 3.3 rebounds. Omlid did not play this past weekend in the NDNU Tournament. Through four games, he is shooting 21 of 30 from the floor (70 percent).
LONG-DISTANCE CONNECTIONSSenior guard
Jordan Wiley has 20 made field goals on the season, 13 coming behind the 3-point arc. He is averaging 9.8 points per game after posting a season-high 15 points against NDNU.
ABOUT THE CAVALIERSConcordia enters this Tuesday's game looking to win its first ever GNAC contest. The former Cascade Conference powerhouse in the NAIA ranks made the official move to NCAA Division II athletics this year. The Cavs are 1-5 to start the year under 22
nd-year head coach Brad Barbarick, picking up their win on Nov. 21 at home against Northwest Christian, 71-65. Most recently, the Cavs lost a pair of games at the California Baptist Thanksgiving Tournament (102-73 to CBU and 97-78 to Concordia Irvine). Drew Martin has averaged a team-leading 13.7 points per game, while Riley Hawken has registered 6.0 rebounds per game. Tuesday's matchup will be the 69

ABOUT THE YELLOWJACKETSMontana State Billings arrives to league play with a 2-4 record after dropping two games this past weekend hosting a tournament. MSUB fell 92-74 to Domincan and 75-72 to Dixie State, both teams out of the PacWest. Led by fifth-year head coach Jamie Stevens, the Yellowjackets are third in the GNAC in free throw percentage (.755). Four MSUB players have averaged in double figures, led by Marc Matthews at 18.7 points per game. Saturday's meeting in New PE will be the 21
st meeting in the all-time series which has seen each team claim 10 victories so far.
